Renovation faq's
What counts as a large-scale renovation?
A large-scale renovation typically involves significant changes to a home, such as major extensions, structural alterations, complete interior reconfigurations, or full home transformations, rather than just cosmetic updates.
Can I live in my home during a large renovation?
It depends on the scale and complexity of the project. In some cases, it’s possible to stay in part of the home during construction, but for major structural work or safety reasons, it’s often better to move out temporarily. We’ll guide you through the best option for your project.
How long does a large renovation usually take?
Every project is different, but large renovations can take anywhere from several months to a year, depending on the scope, approvals, and level of custom work involved. We’ll work with you to set realistic timelines from the beginning.
Do you handle all the planning and permits for renovations?
Yes. We manage all the necessary planning, permits, and approvals to ensure your renovation meets local council and regulatory requirements, taking the hassle out of your hands.
Is it better to renovate or knock down and rebuild?
It depends on the condition of your existing home, your goals, and your budget. During our consultation, we’ll assess your home and help you decide whether a large renovation or a full knockdown rebuild is the smarter choice.
How involved will I be in the renovation process?
We believe in close collaboration. You’ll be involved in all key design and decision-making stages, with clear communication throughout the build to make sure your vision stays at the centre of everything we do.
What makes Riverwolf different from other renovation builders?
We treat every renovation like it’s our own home, combining craftsmanship, creativity, and a commitment to quality. With us, it’s not just about delivering a finished project; it’s about building lasting homes and lasting relationships.
How do you manage unexpected changes or challenges during a renovation?
Renovations can sometimes reveal the unexpected, and it’s natural for plans to evolve along the way, but our experience means we know how to adapt. We maintain open communication, offer practical solutions, and always keep your vision front and centre without compromising on quality.
